Supporting underfunded public schools,
community programs, and emergency relief for artists.
About The Penguin Fund
Pottery isn't just an art — it’s a medium for creativity, self-expression, and healing. Yet, many schools and community programs lack the resources to offer ceramics classes.
At Penguin Pottery, we believe every student should have the opportunity to experience the joy of working with their hands, shaping ideas into reality, and discovering the magic of fire and form.
Our goal is simple: help bring the world of pottery into communities who need it the most.
Our Mission
The Penguin Fund exists to nurture creativity, craftsmanship, and access to ceramic arts education. We believe that hands-on learning and artistic expression should be available to all, regardless of background or budget.
Our goal is to give back to the ceramics community, and ensure that the next generation of artists has the opportunity to learn, create, and grow.
Our Focus
We partner with art teachers, community studios, and nonprofit educators who are passionate about ceramics and committed to equitable access. Programs are selected twice a year through a simple application and nomination process.
Who We Support
For the past few years, we’ve proudly supported CERF+, a leading relief organization that helps artists recover from emergencies and continue their creative work.
Building on that commitment, we have launched our own initiative — 1% for Schools — to directly fund classrooms, community studios, and educators in need.
